On May 8th, 1973, I formed a duo "Junction" with Frank Mendivil (the drummer with the "Quicksand" group I was briefly with in 1970). This flyer was the announcement of that first engagement at the Black Angus restaurant in Kearny Mesa in San Diego. We shortly became very popular in the Black Angus chain, and were soon playing the circuit of their then 17 restaurants throughout the western states. The contract for that first "gig".
